Luckily enough, the weekend we were in Glenwood Springs was also the annual Strawberry Days Festival. This festival is over 100 years old and features a parade, free strawberries and ice cream, an Arts and Crafts Fair, and of course, entertainment and creative experiences for little ones.
Since our schedule was pretty busy, I only made it to the Arts and Crafts Fair Friday afternoon. The fair featured beautiful wood furniture and art, jewelry, local native american art, bonsai trees and loads of food. To combat the heat, there was homemade root beer and Arnold Palmers to quench your thirst in the shade. There was a good amount of arts and crafts vendors, but my favorite booths are featured below.
Oh, and of course my treasure from this adventure includes a new pair of earrings. Yippi-do-da, thanks mom! And I did not ride Vern’s Mini Train, even though I really wanted to squeeze into a small barrel and bake in the hot sun. It is quite possibly my favorite part about fairs.

I wanted to ride the train too —- next time!
Great captures!
