Hooray for a successful event! My mother and I spent this past weekend crafting, cooking and creating a special baby shower for my cousin. She is expecting a girl, to be named Ruby, which was a great starting point for the shower’s decor.
The room we rented at a local hotel was very accommodating, even though it’s carpet was loud and distracting. Finding a party room that has neutral colors is impossible I guess. Woes of being a party planner.
For the table centerpieces, we used heirloom garden roses in baby food and mason jars that were wrapped in doilies. Ruby red glittered baby shoes were scattered around with bowls of white chocolate stuffed raspberries. Hanging from the ceilings were doily balls and over the main food table was a doily chandelier. True fact - I never want to touch doilies again. My mom refinished an antique baby high chair that we placed individual desserts on and we used vintage cake stands for the displaying our small eats. Tomorrow I will reveal the yum-noms that we cooked for the shower. Be ready to slobber.

Beautiful pictures little girl — I want some raspberries now!!!
