Baking, I love it. What I don’t love? Rolling dough. I rarely choose recipes that include this terrible misery step. My dough always sticks to my rolling pin, my shapes come out wonky and flour ends up everywhere as I ponder my capabilities for that specific baking adventure.
This weekend I tried my hand at Orange Ricotta Pop Tarts, which of course included rolling dough, and there was only a 15 minute interlude of frustration. Win. To top off the win, my new Silpat Baking Mat worked wonders for a non-sticky atmosphere. New best friend? I think so.
