I know, I haven’t posted for 4 days…but I have been super busy running around the city attending fun events. Then, there was Labor Day Weekend and I just needed a technology break. Now I am back, with a ton of new content to share. Hippity Hip!
ARTCRANK is a bicycle inspired poster art show that started in 2007 in Minneapolis. Since then, it has visited cities such as Denver, St. Louis, Portland, San Francisco, Bend and Des Moines. Last Saturday was my second year in a row going to the event and it was great to see what the local artists of Denver put together.
One of the neatest parts about ARTCRANK is that is free and the posters are priced to sell. That gives the common art lover the accessibility to take one home! Be aware, there are limited quantities and they do sell out. ARTCRANK was held out at Taxi in the Freight building. I am a huge fan of this mixed-use area of the city and enjoyed peeking through windows of design studios for inspiration.
My favorite poster picks from the show:
1. The Chase. Cole Sletten
2. Bike There. Shane Harris
3. Wily or is that Silly? Brizida Ahrnsbrak
