A break from blogging I had, but it wasn’t a relaxing one! Thanksgiving weekend brought a lot of our family together for food and festivities. Check back later this week to be ooed’ and awwwed’ for a very special baby reveal extravaganza.
I had fresh cranberries left over from my bars last week and thought scones would be lovely for breakfast over the weekend. I struggled to find a recipe that used fresh cranberries instead of a sauce, and the Smitten Kitchen Blog had just what I needed. I adapted the recipe to use ingredients on hand, normal lemons and buttermilk instead of cream. The difference I noticed was in my dough, it was very wet, so I added 1/3 cup of flour to firm it up.
Yum nom nom was the ending result.
And they were delish with the cream and lemon curd!!! Thanks Miss Kate — I have one for Missy — but forgot it today.
Can’t wait!!
They were amazing, Jake agrees and says those should be a new addition to the food roster.
