I am a fan of all things inexpensive, especially crafting. Years ago I found this ughm..plastic… chandelier at Urban Outfitters for a lovely $10. It has followed me from apartment to apartment and yet, I have never put a light in my hanging chandelier. Last weekend I had the itch to snazz up my apartment and after a short trip to IKEA for a $5 pendant light, I was ready to go!
I wrapped the cord with repurposed yarn by using regular tape to secure the sections and super glue for the yarn ending. There is no simple way to wrap string around a cord, just be patient, drink coffee and settle in on your couch. I suggest to do small sections and keep a handful of yarn in your hand as you go. Plain string keeps my chandelier hanging which I then wrapped with lace fabric to give a delicate dimension. The finishing touch to my project, sunflowers. Craft on bloggers!
