Chia seeds are healthy full of fibre, omega-3s and make your bones stronger. They also help blood sugar spikes for those that have diabetes and are high in protein. All these points lead me to this conclusion, eating chia seeds are a good idea. But how? I used a recipe for a Peach Oat Chia Seed Smoothie last weekend that turned out great. With a little frozen banana, oats, peaches, coconut milk, chia seeds and a dash of maple syrup and you are on your way to a filling mid morning snack. Yum. I am excited to substitute ingredients in this recipe to find a new combination!
