I did it. I branched out. I took a few steps toward the meat counter and pointed at uncooked sausage and said, “I’ll take two of those.” It was a bold step in my cooking for one. Primarily I eat vegetarian because touching raw meat complete weirds me out.
But it gets even better, the recipe I used instructed that you to remove the sausage casings and crumble the raw meat in your hands. I shuddered. Yet, I did it. I don’t even want to describe the thoughts I had as the meat squeezed out of the casings. Ewe.
After all was said and done, HOLY COW. This dish was delicious! Like nod-my-head-the-entire-time-while-eating-good. AND Mr. Mountainman gave the culinary nod of approval. Which is totally rare since I tricked him to eating green healthy food. HA. Wins all around kids.
