One of my Colorado mountain goals is to visit as many hot springs as possible. Over the weekend I knocked out Strawberry Park Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs off my list. <my body was screaming… put me in water!>
Strawberry Park is simply amazing. Nestled right off the river, the hot spring is surrounded by Aspen trees, rocks and the Colorado sky. The ‘pools’ are the most natural I have been in, with sandy and rocky bottoms and unfiltered water. There is hut where you can have massages, a teepee for changing and pots of flowers scattered about. Bring cash and go during the day when clothing is mandatory, I hear it is a party at night. Really though, a rustic experience of hot springs minerals. I’ll be going back, that’s for real.
