I am the queen of finding economically priced furniture. For example, I bought a 1960’s kitchen set for $8.00 in Nebraska while I was in college. Of course it was incredibly ugly, but I spray painted the chair and table legs and reupholstered the chair seats and back to bring the kitchen set into the 21st century.
Five years later the chairs needed some love since the seat fabric was fraying at the edges. I choose a dark slate blue fleur de lis pattern to reupholster the chair bottom and spray painted the legs a gold color to match the speckled gold formica tabletop. The ending result has a classier vibe and I am sure I will love it for years to come!
