Ever since I bought sesame oil, I have been going a little crazy for the Asian inspired dishes. Actually, ever since Trader Joe’s opened and I can buy speciality/interesting food items, my comfort zone in the kitchen has been challenged. You might think, “Lucky Mr. Mountainman!” but really he is a picky eater, so it’s all for me…and that’s just amazing for leftover lunches!
The Miso-Roasted Asparagus Soba Noodle recipe I made this week was crazy good. I made a few substitutions to the recipe, yellow miso (found at TJ’s) for red miso and portobello mushrooms for shiitake. I haven’t found black sesame seeds yet, so I just used regular ones. All of that being said, I am going to dive into my leftovers now. Don’t be envious or anything.
