I am going to be real real for a few minutes of your readership.
Have you ever lost focus? I just realized that maybe I have. And it’s strange actually because I haven’t felt like I had lost focus until I sat down, turned on Spotify’s Deep Focus playlist and did some self examination. I honestly was just ready to find cute things to blog, but instead had these thoughts come to me. Your itching to know the thoughts, right?
There are activities that used to make my soul incredibly happy and at ease that are not a huge part of my life anymore. First is dance. You may not know that I have been dancing ballet since I was 3 years old. Ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary classes consumed my life from middle school through college, spending at least 3 weekday nights at my dance studio. And now I make it to one ballet class . . every 4 or 5 weeks. Granted that ballet class always makes my soul feel free, but it is hard to attend every week with my work schedule. Oh, and that adorable dog named Marabou.
Second is fashion. At times I felt timid, but in reality fashion was an outlet that allowed me to be creative, organized and a leader. Those times were college, but my life has deviated so far from fashion that I wonder if I could still find those strengths.
Where do you find your focus? As an adult there are many life decisions that come our way, it feels hard to self indulge in our own soul pleasures. Honestly, we are just to tired from days full of work and responsibilities to muster the energy to feed our souls. How do you kick those feelings and find happiness in our soul? Ponder that.
The End of my real real post and your merry way.
