Pretty little Linzer Cookies with perfect edges and fillings. I know these cookies are a staple during the holidays, but I had to give them a go with my newly acquired cookie cutter.

Instead of being super crumbly, these cookies have the perfect amount of moisture. Add in organic apricot and raspberry jam and a dusting of powdered sugar, and you will be going back for seconds…or thirds.

Have you ever made jam? Me either. But then I read through this ‘no-recipe cherry jam‘ and thought that I could conquer this simple recipe with my leftover Rainier cherries. Pioneer women succeeded, so with modernity on my side – how could I fail? teeee heeeeeee…

Here is my suggestion, don’t overcook your jam (direction no.7 on the link). Then you will end of up with a little-less-jamey jam and more of an almost-candy-consistency jam. My cherry jam doesn’t spread very well, and in fact, straight out of the refrigerator is nearly hard. I give this adventure a 60% success rate and a 95% photo appeal rate.

Jam on kids.
